About Any Given Child
The primary goal of the Kennedy Center's Ensuring the Arts for Any Given Child program is to assist communities in developing and implementing a plan for expanded arts education in their schools, ensuring access and equity for all students in grades K-8. Although the initiative provides a structure for work to be accomplished, the Kennedy Center understands that every community is unique, and tailors the consultation and facilitation to each site. The Kennedy Center brings to this initiative more than three decades of work with thousands of students, teachers, principals, school district administrators, business leaders, and arts managers across the country.

To provide world-class arts education in the Trenton Public Schools through joyful engagement with high quality, diverse arts experiences resulting in engaged citizens who are curious, empathetic, resilient, and prepared for success in the 21st Century.
OUR HISTORY
In 2015, Trenton became the 19th site selected to participate in the Kennedy Center’s prestigious Ensuring the Arts for Any Given Child Program. As of FY 2019, there are 27 Any Given Child Communities across the United States, including the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.

Committed to ensuring that EVERY CHILD in grades Pre-k through 12 has equitable access to quality arts integration/education programming in a sequential curriculum.
Two Years of Strategic Planning

Visioning --> Goal-Setting --> Developing, Distributing and Analyzing Surveys to determine the current status of arts education and identify where gaps exist in programs and resources to establish long-range goals and action steps.
Three Funding Streams

$$ from Donors (Foundations, individuals, corporations)
Creative Classrooms Fund Funds distributed to teachers and principals who have applied for these resources. Can be used for supplies, trips, guest artists, or common planning hours outside of school for arts classes or arts integration projects.
Teacher Professional Learning Fund
Funds distributed to facilitators to conduct professional learning sessions, and to teachers to attend arts and arts integration trainings outside of school hours.
Administration Fund
Funds used to cover AGC
administration such as fundraising consultants, marketing/PR consultants, project manager time, and CAT meeting materials (and event planning supplies.)

Arts Integration/ Programming
All teachers are rigorously trained to implement intentional arts integration in all classrooms to enrich instructional practice and deepen student understanding across all subject areas. All students will experience substantive art learning in dance, music, theatre, visual arts and media arts across all schools Pre-K through 8 that is equitable in time, facilities, and materials and programmed in a thoughtful sequential manner.
Partnerships
Students, teachers, and administrators in every school will benefit and learn from regular, robust, and learning outcome-centered community arts partnerships in a variety of the arts.
Family & Community Engagement/
Marketing
From the family to the school and from the school to the family, the Trenton community will support, value, and engage in students’ arts education experiences that are relevant to and respectful of cultural engagement.
Fundraising
Creative Classroom Funds can be used for supplies, trips, guest artists, or common planning hours outside of school for arts classes and arts integration projects. Teacher Professional Learning Funds are distributed to facilitators to run professional learning sessions, and to teachers to attend arts and arts integration trainings outside of school hours. Administration Funds are used to cover AGCT administration such as fundraising consultants, marketing/PR consultants, project manager time, and CAT meeting materials.
